That Couldn't Be Me

Many a times we hear them talk
Many a times we hear a lot
But all that talking, all that lot
Sound like nothing, sounds like tosh

Millions of people cry everyday
Thousands of people fade away
Hundreds of people die everyday
Then there are those who lie everyday

When those people face the worst
Following the crowd or standing the worst
When these people talk of the fallen
Everyone thinks 'That couldn't be me!'

I couldn't cry that way
I couldn't die that way
I couldn't lie that way
I couldn't fade away

Yet, there always comes a time
The distant things all come nearby
Yet, there always comes a time
You stop saying
That couldn't be me

Every End has a New Beginning

Year one of Junior College has just ended here in the sunny islands of Singapore and the time for self directed living has just begun. Now it may seem strange to begin blogging at the end of the year when most people begin new things in new beginings or rather, the beginning of the year. However, after ruminating on the piles of unaccomplished new year resolutions made by me and the people I know, the pressure of starting afresh in the blogosphere seemed a little more plausible and promising.

So, I use this first post to say "Hello Internet!" from the tropical island of Singapore. Hopefully, blogging will allow me to exchange thoughts and ideas with the world while making friends from various walks of life and sharing experiences that last the test of time. Thus, as 2014 ends, I, Ashmika, begin my journey as an ickle blogiekin. After all, every end has a new beginning.
